The Worship Commission, in association with the Liturgy Committee and the Liturgy Trio, is responsible for the planning of liturgical celebrations that best serve the needs of our Parish Community. It allows the community to contribute on-going evaluation and improvement of all matters relating to any aspect of worship at Sacred Heart. Additionally, the Worship Commission discerns the worship, liturgical and prayer needs of the Parish in accord with liturgical directions, guidelines and policies of the Church.
This Commission meets monthly, first as support for the worship ministries of our parish and then as members of the Common Leadership group, to assist in the overall needs of the parishioners of Sacred Heart.
Parish members who would like to have involvement with the Worship Commission should have knowledge of liturgy and a desire to learn more in order to help bring about a vibrant worshipping community. Personal creative and organizational skills are helpful, but not necessary. Continuing education and formation workshops are offered by the Archdiocese and the Vicariate, in addition to the continuing education offered during our regular monthly meetings. Those interested in serving the people of Sacred Heart through the Worship Commission should contact Mark Madison. Peace to all who serve the Lord with a glad heart!
