The partners with Prisca Sewing Group (formerly Outreach Sewing) will meet on Wednesday, September 28 in the Parish Hall from 12:30 - 3:00 PM. St. Prisca was a faithful friend of St. Paul and helped establish early Christian churches.
St. Prisca praised the Lord as she worked with fabrics as a tent maker. She shared stories of Jesus as she sewed, and drew people to God.
Come join us as we work and assemble Sani Pads for the Dignity Project, which is part of the Little Dresses for Africa program. This work allows young women to stay in school and practice safe hygiene. Seamstresses and non-sewers alike are welcome, as we cut, trim, pin and pack supplies.
Parish contributions of gently used mattress pads, flannel sheets, and new packaged cotton underwear (girl sizes 14 & 16, or women’s size small and medium) are gratefully appreciated, as are donations to purchase water repellent lining material.
