The Resurrection of the Lord

The Resurrection is not a theory, but an historical fact.  It is not a myth, or vision, or a fairy tale but a singular, unrepeatable event. Jesus died on a Friday afternoon, was taken down from the cross and left in the tomb. He was seen and recognized as risen. What should we believe about Jesus’ resurrection?

We invite you to deepen your understanding about the Paschal Mystery:  The Mystery of Jesus’ Death, Resurrection, and Ascension. Easter calls for a radical conversion which results in our becoming “new,” a newness that changes us and the lives of all who accept it. The risen Jesus went to real lengths to show that he was alive and tried to convince believers that what happened is a part of a divine plan.  He continues to give us the same commissioning that he gave to the disciples:

“Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”(Matthew 28:19)
