Spirit of Hope Saturday July 21st
Meet at 9:00 a.m. to make sandwiches
Then leave at 10:30 a.m. to go to Spirit of Hope
Sacred Heart has partnered with St. James Episcopal Church on Grosse Ile to make a lunch or serve and clean up. Spirit of Hope is located on Trumbull and Martin Luther King.
We will need 4 volunteers at 9:00 a.m. to roll plasticware and make peanut butter sandwiches and cook the meal for this service project. Our group will serve the meal at Spirit of Hope and clean up afterwards. We will leave at 10:30 a.m. and should be finished by 1:30 p.m.
Spirit of Hope serves about 150 guests a sit down meal. We will need 13 people. To volunteer, please call the Parish Office to sign-up. We will car pool. Thank you for your support.

Help Us Build A Home In South Rockwood
Saturday, July 28th
Sacred Heart will help build a home for a family in South Rockwood. We will start at 8:00 a.m. and work until 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. We won’t know exactly what we will be doing so plan to dress for the weather as most of the work will be outdoors. Shoes must be closed toe.
Please call the Parish Office if you are able to join us. We will car pool, and leave the Parish Office at 7:30 a.m. This is a fun and exciting service project and we learn a lot about the build.
Manna Meals Help
Every 3rd and 5th Monday
Manna Meals is a very special soup kitchen. The clients are the poorest of the poor. We leave Sacred Heart at 6:45 a.m. and help make the sandwiches and then serve soup and sandwiches until 11:00 a.m. Fr. Tom Lumpkin has been running the soup kitchen for many years. Anne Zaragoza and several of our parishioners get there earlier and start making soup and coffee. We do carpool. Please call the parish to sign-up, this is a very gratifying experience.
