Let's celebrate the end of the school year and prepare for warmer weather and outdoor Masses. All students (grades Pre K through High School Senior) are invited to attend with their families. We will celebrate Mass together, distribute awards, and honor our Senior, Confirmation and First Communion Classes. We will walk over to the Parish Hall for an Ice Cream Social! We are excited to bring Vacation Bible School back this year. We will need many adult, teen and youth volunteers. The date for training and decorating is Tuesday, June 21 from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Sacred Heart Church will host a Blood Drive on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. Please donate blood this summer and help save lives in our downriver community! We will be starting up a sewing group at Sacred Heart once again. We will be meeting with the sewers from "Dresses for Africa." You can join this group and help with pinning, ironing and sewing. Lunch will be served at the first meeting of the month. Please watch The Beam for the starting date which will be in May.

Fr. Marc Gawronski was born and raised at St. Damian parish in Westland, Michigan. He is the fourth oldest of six children. Since the third grade, he recalls wanting to be a priest! Now, coming up on his 30th year of priesthood, Fr. Marc has enjoyed ministry and teaching in several different contexts. He is familiar with Downriver. 28 of those 30 years have been spent serving parishes between SW Detroit and Monroe!
Fr. Marc attended the University of Michigan, St. John’s Provincial Seminary in Plymouth Township and the University of Notre Dame. He was ordained June 29, 1991, and celebrated his first Mass at Guardian Angels Parish in Clawson.
