In the Sacraments, we meet the Risen Christ and are touched by God’s love. In a Christian marriage, God’s love and faithfulness are revealed in tangible form and the couple becomes a sign to all the Church of God’s unity and fruitful love. The Sacred Heart parish family stands ready to help you prepare for the celebration of this sacrament in your life. The whole Church will be strengthened by the sacrament you will become. Therefore, the entire community rejoices in the lifetime commitment you are about to make.
Weddings – Weddings are scheduled by special arrangement with the Family Pastor. Please note that it is vitally important that wedding preparation begin NO LATER than six months prior to the anticipated wedding date. Contact the Parish Office at 734.676.1378 for more information or to schedule an appointment with the Pastor. Weddings may take place in the church or in St. Anne's Chapel.
Every couple seeking marriage in the Catholic Church must attend a pre-marriage class that covers various aspects of married life and ensures the couple is prepared to receive the sacrament of marriage. The program will cover 8 topics: the decision to get married, communications, personalities, family, sexuality, children, finances and spirituality. This class can take the place of other pre-marriage classes such as engaged encounter and others.
There is a cost of $25 per couple to cover materials and lunch. Please call Parish Office to register.
