Sacred Heart Family, since I have been here and long before, this parish has always taken care of the Youth. No matter what program we offer: VBS, Retreats, Mission Trips, Group Fund and Service Trips, and so on. Any time we needed help with a fundraiser, monetary donations, donated items or just spending time with our young people, YOU ARE THERE!

I cannot thank you enough for the continued support. These kids are our future and worth the investment. Since we have become a Family of Parishes, many programs including Religious Formation have combined. This means even though we do not share funds there had to be cuts in the Budgets to make all the parishes comparable in many ways.

So, instead of doing fundraisers, we have decided to add Donation Envelopes that you will see in the pew with your monthly offering mailing and a space for those who do online giving. All donations will be used for programs and events for Youth and Teens only. You will see and hear where the money goes throughout the year in Church, social media, and the bulletin. A recent example; The Middle School Retreat, “Holy Fire” at Detroit Mercy cost over $7000 (speakers, snacks, bus). What we charged for the retreat fee didn’t cover the expense per child. Sacred Heart has student and family retreats for grades 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and Teens.

We also like to honor the kids each year who have served in the Church, had perfect attendance and exceeded service to others within the parish and community with a trip to a Tigers Game or Cedar Point. These things strengthen community within the Domestic Church as well as our Sacred Heart Family.
