The Mother Teresa Scholarship was created by the Sacred Heart parish community in 1997 to commemorate the life and work of Mother Teresa. We have combined the award with the Knights of Columbus, Blessed Fr. McGivney, whose life, legacy and zest was for proclaiming the Gospel and concerns for his brothers and sisters.
These Awards recognize the high school senior, male or female, in the parish who most aspires to the values and mission of Mother Teresa and Blessed Fr. McGivney. Recipients receive a one-time grant. The recipients will be announced at the 5:00 PM Mass at Sacred Heart on Sunday May 25th. Applications are sent to all Sacred Heart Parish high school seniors by mail, and the applications are also on the Sacred Heart website or you can call the office to pick one up. This year we have $3000.00 to award.
