Special Collection for the Priests' Pension Plan

On Sunday, September 29, our parish is taking up a special collection for our priests’ retirement, With Thanks for Their Service in Christ. This collection will support the Priests’ Pension Plan, which provides a monthly pension as well as health and automobile insurance to priests at age 70.

As you may know, the retirement years can be difficult for our retired priests. No longer supported by their parish communities, they rely on minimal Social Security benefits and their pension from the Priests’ Pension Plan for basic needs, such as food, housing, and transportation.

Please show your gratitude to those priests who have cared for and ministered to our community by prayerfully reflecting on how you can best help support our priests’ retirement with a gift to the With Thanks for Their Service in Christ special collection. You may return your completed special collection envelope at Mass or mail it to the parish office.
